Welcome to the Web site of AIDS Quilt Rhode Island. We began in 1992 as a chapter of the NAMES Project Foundation and have since become an independent organization. Although we are no longer officially affiliated with the NAMES Project Foundation, we still share that organization's mission, which is "to preserve, care for, and use the AIDS Memorial Quilt to promote healing, heighten awareness and inspire action in the struggle against AIDS." We are devoted to using the Quilt to fight AIDS in Rhode Island and neighboring regions of Massachusetts and Connecticut.
