ORGANIZATIONAL MISSION

AIDS Quilt Rhode Island offers support to people living with HIV/AIDS and their loved ones, caregivers and survivors. We also lend our services to individuals and organizations working to prevent HIV, including AIDS service agencies and community-based organizations. In order to carry out our mission, we engage in the following activities:

• Quilt Panelmaking
  • Assist in planning, laying out, and constructing quilt panels
  • Support ongoing quilt-related projects
  • Offer knowledgeable people to help make panels
  • Run Anna's Workshop, a children's panelmaking program
    
• Promotion of Quilt- and AIDS-related education programs and materials in a wide variety of settings:
  • Schools, colleges, universities
  • Faith communities
  • Community organizations and centers
  • Health care and treatment centers
  • Places of business
  • Professional organizations
  • Government centers
  • Museums and galleries
    
• Fundraising
  • Raise money for other local AIDS service organizations
    
• Volunteerism
